Mukiltea Lighthouse Park is very well kept and the buildings look to be painted regularly to keep them preserved. We arrived before the park was open but you could still look around and view the signs and read up about the history of the Lighthouse. the views from this spot are amazing as the Whitby Island ferry dock is adjacent... Would like to have gone inside and to check out the gift shop and living quarters in separate buildings but it's January, it's cold and it's closed. Picturesque though, and a small shoreline with driftwood that made it a worthwhile visit.

This is right down on the water, with picnic areas as well as a lot of places to wander about and walk to and from...or, just sit on some driftwood and watch the ferries come and go.

Ice half hour or so Place to walk along the water and see the lighthouse, a distant view of Mt Rainer and the ferry. Grab and go lunch at Ivars Mulketeo is well worth it.

We took the kids here in the early springtime. They had a good playground that the kids loved. We walked along the shore line and the views were fantastic. The lighthouse was closed but we walked around and peeked in. The kids found some cool shells and we had a good time. Would recommend going a little later in the... More

After lunch, we enjoyed a walk to the lighthouse park. Make sure it's open before you go! Incredible views and a good way to work off your lunch calories. It doesn't take long to see but is worth the time.

Easy drive north of Seattle. The Mukilteo Lighthouse is very easy to get to. Located near the ferry. Very picturesque with the water in the background.

Explore the top of the lighthouse and enjoy the grounds. This is the image I think of when I think of Mukilteo. Bring your camera and have a seat and enjoy your view

The info areas were closed when we were here but were still able to walk the grounds and take pictures. There is a well organized self-guided walking tour of the area which makes things easy to learn and see at your own pace. The grounds themselves are well kept and offer plenty of photo opportunities. If you're in the area,... More
