Wow, now thats a BIG beach!

There isnt much to say about Long Beach other than its name is very apt. Its amazing even in winter with great tails, a lovely boardwalk and miles and miles of sand and surf.

True to its name the peninsula has the longest beach - in the US, and maybe in the world? Beautiful unbroken sandy beach with the best/freshest oysters in Oysterville in the north, and Il Waco fishing port and historial lighthouse at the south end of the Peninsula.

We loved that we could drive on the beach here. It is beautiful and dramatic which is just what we wanted in the month of January. The town had stores and restaurants and plenty to do with the proximity to Cape Disappointment Park. Highly recommend this area!

Fun little shops along the main street and lots to look at and explore around the area by foot or by car.

This is a town where it feels like people actually live and work there. Lots of high quality food and shopping

Very authentic pacific beach town, with fun places to eat and visit. And the beach is spectacular! Longest beach in the USA. Be sure to see the whale skeleton. Best part is visit to the Cape Disappointment State Park and get to see TWO lighthouses.

Long Beach is a bit remote, being 45 minutes +/- from Astoria, and not near much of anything else. The SW portion of Washington is sparsely populated. HOWEVER, if you can get lodging during the Kite Festival it is very much worth the trip. (The rest of the time encourages you to lay back and take occasional day trips.) Our... More

From Ilwaco to the south to Ocean Park to the north with Long Beach in the middle this stretch of Washington Coast is a great destination for families and folks who simply love the beach. The beach is driveable and is especially inviting in the summer.

We stayed here for two days for our 5-year anniversary. The town is cut and loaded with restaurants! There's a go-cart track and in downtown LB, lots of fun activities and the usual touristy things.
