If like go-karting or racing this is the place to go. They have an 8/10 of a mile track (only half track on weekends) and run multiple configurations, open rine or shine all year long. They provide all the gear you need to race just show up and race. Its 35$ (25$ for members) for a 15min session in a 9hp birel go-kart. If you want a more they offer league racing or 2hr endurance racing pretty much every weekend. Great staff always friendly and happy to answer any question you might have. You will never want to waste money at K1 or Sykart after you try PGP there is no comparison. I love this place!

We spent the day at Pacific Grand Prix yesterday and had a fabulous time! The staff are very talented drivers and happily share their knowledge. They LOVE it when you have fun, and we sure did.

We went on a Thursday and they weren't super-busy so they had the entire track (.82 miles long with 15 corners) going. On busy days (especially weekends) they often only have half the track running as it is too hard to keep track of everyone (e.g. help people who spin out, etc.) on a full track. We showed up at 9 and got some of the all day passes for $150 a person. They only sell 5 of them a day and only to people 18 and older. If you do six races, you will break even, and all races after that are "free." Race sessions last about 15 minutes. Using the full course, most races lasted between 8 and 10 laps. After the laps they gave everyone a sheet of paper that showed your speed for each lap so you could compete against your own best speed or against others. We were only allowed to drive every other race/session.

For safety, you need to wear long pants and a long-sleeve shirt and closed toe shoes. They provide helmets (included in the kart rental fee) if you don't have one.

Chldren 14 and under are required to take a class before driving. The class consisted of two 15 minute driving sessions and two 15 minute coaching sessions and was a good value.

The 2012 Entertainment book has a coupon for a free race and if you sign up for their newsletter you will get a coupon for a free race valid within a month of your birthday. (Must sign up a month before your birthday.)

They don't have great facilities there - three porta-potties, three pop/water machines (one Coke, two Pepsi), several clean picnic tables with umbrellas, and a small bleacher seating area for spectators. We took a cooler with drinks, sandwiches, snacks, etc., and were glad we did. And even with that we ended up buying more drinks from the machines. Driving makes you thirsty! If you prefer to go out for a meal, there are several dining options nearby.

This was a really fun activity and while they do have karts for young children, I think it is targeted to adults and teens.

I had been to a couple of go karting places before this and my experience was meh..But today I, my husband and and a couple friends went to PGP. All of us had a really great time. Since it was a cloudy sunday afternoon, we had the entire track to ourselves. Although I was just trying to stay on track for most part, we all had great fun!

Each and every person on the staff were great to talk to, very encouraging and friendly.

We would love to go again, and with more friends next time around.

Nice track, but expensive and hard to get to race on a walk-in basis, too many special events and partial track closures. Also some requirements for younger drivers (i.e. mandatory class when they have no instructors avaialble?!) Silly stuff, but a good track from a technical/driver's point of view.

The wife and I like to go-kart whenever we can find it in our travels and we found PGP Motorsports on a recent business trip to Kent.

The registration is a little cumbersome and somewhat lengthy but made enjoyable by the interaction of office staff.

The price is just okay for the actual 15-minutes we spent on the track: $25 for the track time; $10 for insurance and $3 for the black helmet sock (a nylon ski mask-type head covering you get to keep afterwards in case you need to knock over a 7-11 on the way home).

Add in some of that fine Washington state tax and the final tab for two was $82.50.

After a few minutes of driving instructions by the exceedingly friendly track staff we were off, skimming along three inches above a well-paved half-mile track with a ton of corners and several long straightaways.

We were there right after they opened for the day and had the track to ourselves which made it even more enjoyable since we didn't have to worry about other 'motorists'.

The 15 minutes on the track did not pass all that quick, to be honest, and we felt it was worth the price when we were finished.

The complex also has a 2.5 mile Grand Prix track for Big Boy cars (as well as a drag strip) and we could hear the roar of engines running wide open before backing off for hair-pin corners and such, so after returning our helmets we walked a hundred yards across the grass to the fence surrounding the Grand Prix course.

We were in awe as dozens of Porsche', sans muffler, tore past us, just 100 feet away. High-performance Mustangs and several 1930 and 1940 Indy-type race cars added to the roar.

It was awesome and we actually spent longer clinging to the fence watching as we did go-karting.

It was a fun way to start the day.

After many years of indoor karting venues and sub-par outdoor tracks, we found the premier track and facility at PGP! The trip was planned for many months in advance since it is a 3 hour trek from here just across the border in Mission, to the track in Kent.
We arrived early for the 90 minute Endurance race, which starts at 9 AM, and then returned for 4 Arrive and Drive races in the afternoon. First class track, karts, facility, and the guys and girl working there were top notch! The karts are fast, faster than most indoor and family karting centers, and it's a beautifully long and well laid out course. The only negatives for us are the distance for us to get there, PLEASE build another closer to the border!, and it is a bit costly, but oh so worth it! Note: If you do go into the Endurance race there are a lot of regular guys that I'm sure are here each and every race, for many years, know what they're doing, and they are fast!!
For someone that has driven a lot of karts, and at various tracks, with good results, this experience was humbling to say the least! I can't wait to redeem myself on the next visit!!

Hands down the best karting experience in the area! Have been going there for several years now and watched the staff deliver fantastic customer service to racing professionals and first time amateurs alike, and do it with great enthusiasm and a smile. They definitely know what they are doing and do it well.

At 9/10th of a mile, the karting track is the longest anywhere in the Pacific Northwest, with plenty of room to race and maneuver. No need for the drivers to climb on top of each other, as is found in many inferior indoor tracks in the area (K1 especially). The PGP instructors (Scott, Bryan, Colin, others) are generous with advice and driver support. Karts can get tired, as is expected after so much use, which is acknowledged and fixed promptly. Thank you PGP!!!

I've been going to SyKart in Turkwila for years, but this Satuday decided to try the PGP place instead.
It was a bit more pricey, double the price actually, but a whole hell of a lot more fun!
The whole team is super friendly and nice.
I did 2 races and had a blast. The carts are super quick and the track is great!

It was a bit concerning at first that the carts did not have seat belts, but after getting out on the track I found them quite stable low enough to the ground to know that they don't need the belt.

Go! Have fun, and maybe bring a group with you.

If you want to step it up from you normal "family go-cart" experience, this is where you should go.
A simple registration process, then select a helmet, attend a brief drivers rules meeting, and you're on the track. They claim the karts go 50 mph, but those in our group questioned that number. Regardless, they are much faster than the one's at family style tracks. You are on track for 13 minutes, and for me that was around 7 laps, and more the better (faster) you are. At the end, they give you a printout with all the details of your performance. Pretty cool.
Reminders: There are no seat belts to hold you in the kart, and you must wear shoes - no sandals or flipflops allowed, only closed-toe shoes. Good idea to check the website before going.
