The walk out to the North Head Lighthouse is a nice short walk with great views of the Cape Disappointment park and beach. On the trail out to the lighthouse we saw a large banana slug and about 3 miles offshore we saw the spout of a blue whale. The lighthouse itself is under remodeling until 2017 so you can't... More

The lighthouse is currently under renovation but you can get up close enough for some good pictures. The view from the lighthouse cliff is spectacular and worth the short hike. You can also walk out and see two lighthouses at once, this one and the Cape Disappointment Lighthouse. I love lighthouses and this one is definitely worth a short stop... More

We walked off to North Head Lighthouse on a gorgeous sunny clear day in Washington. The lighthouse itself is being refurbished but it was still amazing to see. The lighthouse was constructed in 1897. The walk out is pretty. There is some information boards to describe the lighthouse. One must pay the day use fee to park which is currently... More

This is an amazing spot to visit and just absorb the feeling of being on the edge of the world. Gorgeous views of the water and waves pounding below. You can see forever!

This is an easy walk to the lighthouse and has great views but there is construction currently going on and you are not able to get very close to the lighthouse at this time.

Beautiful site. Discovery Pass required to park. Well worth the price to walk out to watch the birds nesting on the cliff or watch for the grey whales, dolphins and humpbacks!

Nice lighthouse. Can't go inside, and they say it is under restoration. Good view of the coast. Very windy (bring a jacket). It is accessible from Long Beach via bike, 7 mile ride, on the Discovery Trail. One mile of this ride is quite hilly, we walked our bikes for part of it. Otherwise, a Washington Discover Pass or $10... More

After seeing all the beautiful lighthouses along the Oregon Coast, I was surprised to see this one which looked sadly ignored. This lighthouse is beautiful, if it gets a paint over. It's easy access to walk here from the parking lot and it's a beautiful site. Would love to stay in one of those buildings near the lighthouse for a... More
