Located on a high cliff overlooking the most dangerous river bar in the world. Cape Disappointment Lighthouse stood guard over the channel for many years. Although it is no longer cared for by a lighthouse keeper its light can often be seen. The hike out...More

Wasn't easy for a couple of older Texans to get there but it was worth it! What a great view and history lesson! It was a rainy cold day in April but that seemed very appropriate for what we saw. The Rangers and Volunteers were...More

Classic lighthouse overlooking the mouth of the columbia river. Great view rain or shine. Not sure how handicap assessable it is.

I found interesting that the person working at the lighthouse wouldn't even say hello when we hiked up that way. We truly enjoyed the hike, the lighthouse was just so-so. Thankfully the sun was out that morning so we enjoyed a great view of a...More

If you are up for a strenuous hike, it is worth the effort. I say it is all uphill, because it feels like like it when your done. Trail goes up, then down a ways, then you arrive at the paved incline. Take a look...More

We really enjoyed this park. Yes, you have to pay $10 when you park but well worth the money. When you park, you have two different trails you can take. We started with the lighthouse trail. It is up hill in most places but overall...More
