The hand-powered boat journey across the Pacific was the highlight of the visit. The rest of the exhibits were more-or-less average. But if you live inland in the US this might be a good place to get a feeling of this maritime environment and its...More

Spending the summer getting to explore the Pacific northwest, and this area in particular, has been so fun, and this museum really added to my research. No, it's not glitzy and shiny new, but it is filled with so much information and items, there is...More

This small elite museum holds the local heritage of the peninsula. You can explore the Crossroads of History, where the Columbia River meets the Pacific Ocean. During the year the museum features interesting exhibits, and the permanent exhibition galleries showcase the rich history the region.

My husband and I were just going to take a quick tour through this museum but ended up staying an hour and a half! The docents and volunteers were very knowledgeable and the exhibits or exceptional. A great museum for this area rich with history.

This is a nice little museum, but only so-so.The Village Gallery needs a bit more commentary, and it would have been interesting to actually go into the train passenger coach instead of just walking alongside it. Wish we had known it was free on Thursdays...we went...More

Great Historic Museum, with a knowledgeable and friendly staff. Many displays & items that relate to the area's Scandinavian roots. Great information on early fishing & Ilwaco as an old Finnish village.
