So pretty! The short hike to the lighthouse was beautiful and quiet. I visited in late April and there were very few other people there. The visitor center was closed but we really enjoyed exploring the old abandoned World War 1 artillery center. Super interesting.

Worth a visit. But it is one of many many state parks in Washington and Oregon on the coast. If in the area and looking for a nice time outside, go!

Really lovely area...fabulous views from the north head lighthouse area. Good hiking/walking trails...might be muddy as this is a really rainy area. Lots of beautiful flowers...we also saw wildlife in the area...deer, bear cubs, bald eagles, seals and even a moose...all in a few square...More

Great visit to the state park. Breath taking views from the shoreline and cliffs. Hiking trails are muddy at this time of the year. They warn you, but its slippery.

We spent a rainy morning in the Lewis and Clarke museum right by the lighthouse. The museum was full of information boards, pictures and a good video. I would think that if you read everything in here it would take 6 hours or more. We...More

We did not stay in the campground but just went for a day trip. There are two lighthouses with amazing views and the beach is absolutely amazing! I have never seen black sand like at benson beach.

The campground was in the trees, a deer came to our camp as well as a racoon. The facilities were good. Electric and water, dump station near by. There are showers and toilets. Showers cost $.50 for 3 mins. Takes quarters unlike some places. Clean....More

If you are in this area and fail to come visit this state park with all its many sites then you have really failed.

Great park two lighthouses, one (North Head) is an easy walk. The other is a more strenuous walk. The Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center is also here. You can get a good view of the harder to get to light house from the Interpretive Center
