An absolutely beautiful and serene bonsai museum under a grove of giant evergreen trees. Currently there is an exhibition of original art paired with the bonsai that is extraordinary. Don't miss it. All ages will appreciate the museum.

I like the way how the bonsai display was paired with nature painting where the tree came from. It gives the display a different perspective. I also like that the museum is surrounded by nature. A number of bonsai are over 100 years. Amazing.

Many of the specimens are over 100 years old; some have been imported from Japan and China. Some, though, are species native to the Pacific NW. The garden/exhibit can be hard to find, but there are some signs on the freeway and with the address and a GPS you should be good. Most of the exhibit is open to the... More

I have visited the Pacific Bonsai Museum several times and at different times of year. I have always been awed by the masterful creations and appreciate the exhibit rotations through the seasons. The Museum is a must-see if you are in the area, and worth making the drive from outside the area.

Weyerhaeuser Co. started this collection before donating it to the non-profit that now runs it. There are some really cool bonsai on exhibit here. definitely worth seeing if Bonsai are your thing.

You've seen the sign along the freeway but never taken the time to stop by for a visit... make the time! This is a small but beautiful display of Bonsai specimens just a few minutes off of I-5 in Federal Way. Located on the Weyerhaeuser Corporate Headquarters campus, this garden is adjacent to the equally impressive Rhododendron Species Foundation Garden.... More

It was a wonderful stroll through calm spaces seeing the bonsai in nature. The bonsai was a warm up to the Rhody gardens next door.

I used to work at Weyeraheuser HQ, and took many breaks to just unwind and walk through the garden. Never got old as Bonsai and exhibit changes with season. Spring and fall are best seasons. One of those surprising gems beyond your expectations. Got an hour? Tired of driving? Want to experience something beautiful? This is the place.

Took my kids to the museum, both were rolling their eyes when I tried to explain what we would see. All three of us had fun seeing the amazing display. Told my co-workers they should go, but they just rolled there eyes. I later took my wife who loved it. Both times I visited, no one else was there. Don't... More
