My wife, kids and I loved this train ride. This is a golden opportunity for my family to experience what is like to ride in a steam locomotive. People work there are super friendly. My kids received a banner, coloring paper and crayons, and candy...More

Family of four(7,11) had a very fun and relaxing time. On time and was the perfect distance. They do offer a evening diner ride, but we went to the daytime ride. Lots of views and even got pictures of Mt. Ranier in background

This modest railroad and museum, and the town it operates from, is notable for the friendliness of its crew and staff and residents. This lifts the experience of a visit to Chehalis from the ordinary to the most enjoyable level. Well done!

The trip is enjoyable and not terribly scenic. It is simply a steam train ride. Children are thrilled and we take our grand kids once a year just to watch them enjoy it. Go on a day that you can ride in one of the...More

Four of us travelled from Victoria BC, Canada to Chehalis to ride that steam train! It's our 3rd steam train ride (others in BC,) in 3 years. This was more quaint than Kettle Creek Valley or Port Alberni but they were super friendly and it...More

We were given a gift certificate for the mystery train ride. It was interesting and ok to do one time, but the food was not particularly good, and although wine was advertised as something one could purchase, there was none available when we asked. We...More

This was a reasonably priced 14 mile ride behind an authentic steam locomotive. The leisurely ride took us through farms and forests along a former Milwaukee RR line. It tokk about an hour and a half. The crew was friendly and helpful. Be sure to...More

Yes, I have had problems using the phone to contact this railroad, but you can reserve tickets through the internet. Look for Chehalis-Centralia Railroad and Museum. I just checked the website, and apparently the... More
