I like museums. I try to find them wherever I go, and this one is worth a visit. I took my grandchildren, 8 & 11, and we spent a gun afternoon. The interactive scavenger hunt was fun for the kids and made them actually spend time looking at things. The displays are well-done, and the village is large and interesting.... More

Our family stopped here as part of our trip to Leavenworth and really enjoyed it - lots of Native American and pioneer artifacts and history. Some of the other comments said this was a pricey place for what it offers, but we spent $20 for our family and I thought it was very inexpensive for what is offered.

This museum brings the pioneer past to life in its exhibits in the main museum and its popular Pioneer village out back. Plenty of parking with an adjacent park next to it and a nice view of the Wenatchee River which runs along the side of the museum. Nice stopping spot for families, couples or anyone!

Two floors of wonderful items to see! Great gift shop that sells local authored books and ones related to this area! Many treasures here you will NOT see elsewhere! Great place to come in from the heat of the summer day and just spend time seeing all the treasures. The recreated village out back is great to walk around in.... More

One of my travel companions had been at this museum a number of years ago and said that it was a "must" stop on our way from Seattle to Chelan. Unfortunately, we only had 45 minutes until closing but we took advantage of every second. I hope to go back and see it more thoroughly as I would have loved... More

Most small towns with Museum's are rather limited in exhibit's. The Chelan County Museum has a huge display of Indian Artifacts that show professional quality. Most items were donated from locals, consisting of mortars and pestles, wood working tools, battle clubs, art work and weapons. The out side Pioneer buildings are transplants from the area, containing all the furnishings used... More

This outstanding small museum is a must for those passing through the area, as it features everything from Native American artifacts to a Pioneer Village, to a new salmon display. All can be seen in a short time at a reasonable fee.

An extensive museum on Native American and pioneering history. Inside the museum you see Native American tools, implements, baskets and art. You find a section displaying pioneering and early settlers items. Outside the museum they have 10-12 early log buildings set up depicting early settlers. We really enjoyed the visit.

We saw signs for it when driving to another town. So happy we stopped by! The staff are lovely, helpful and knowledgable. They have pioneer and native American artifacts and history. We learnt a lot. The outdoor pioneer village was one of the best I've seen. We spent 45 mins but could have easily stayed much longer. Don't miss it.... More

If you are a history buff, this will really be enjoyable. The inside tour is just as enjoyable as the outdoor. It's really amazing to see all the artifacts from the region, and in the relativeness of time, from not that long ago. It's amazing to see how far we(as settlers) have come as a civilization, and what we've bestowed... More
