I happened into the gardens on the way to waterfalls. It was a wonderful happenstance. There are so many acres to explore for a small donation. There is also a great nursery on the premises so that one can buy any plant that might catch your attention from the walk.

This location is absolutely gorgeous. They have an abundance of beautiful rhodies that are over 10 feet tall. It is very well taken care of with pride. Always able to purchase plants at reasonable prices.

This is a destination garden/nursery. The location is the western side of Hood Canal on 101. This is an almost 7 acre area of beauty. I first discovered this place several years back and recently stopped again. Next time, it will be a planned stop. And, I will not wait so long between visits. The rhododendrons are amazing. Many were... More

If your traveling up or down HWY 101 you cannot miss the Whitney Gardens. even if you aren't in the mood for buying, seeing these magnificent OLD rhodies and azaleas is worth a stop. some are over 100 years old, and special varieties that can't be found in other nurseries.

Love this place. They have the best assortment of Rhododendrons anywhere. Take time to tour the garden, it is beautiful. Well worth the trip.

Be sure to stop here when traveling down Hwy 101 in Brinnon. Beautiful gardens with many different flowers. Friendly staff. $1 donation suggested.

Driving by on April 9th, 2016, saw a riot of colors, and pulled in. This well established garden/retail shop was full of beautiful flowering trees, shrubs, and plants. It was, I think about 7 acres and they asked for a $1 donation per person if you were just walking around. Around every corner was a photo op and wonderful scents.... More

Great selection of plants. We have had moderate success with our purchases. The seeds aren't always what they claim to be, and sometimes the plants don't survive, but that may be our fault. We always receive good service here and friendly advice.

While we didn't walk around the gardens (because of time, not because of the small $1 fee), we were amazed at the variety of rhoddies for sale and displayed around the store area. Worth the time to look even if you are not buying.
