This is a must see for a visit to Bremerton and the Kitsap peninsula. Its free and tells the story of those who fix our navy ships and those who sail them. During world war two more than 30,000 women and men worked in the ship yards building and fixing ships. They also returned to service ships damaged in Pearl... More

This is a neat museum to learn more about naval history. There are children's activities upstairs one day a week. Here they can explore and learn. There are models of ships, subs, and diving equipment. The gift shop also has a nice selection of educational materials for kids to learn more about naval vessels and the Pacific Northwest.

So glad we followed the brown road signs. Museum is at lower end of the memorial walkway to the women and other workers of the World War II Ship yards. Much... More

This museum is great for all the Navy buffs. Lots of hands on displays, Variaty of films, displays, old Navy artifacts. Two floors to Navy items. Even working in the Shipyard there are items to see from the past and what the future holds.

For a free museum, this was great. It is small, two floors. I figured there would be vets wandering around to interact with visitors, but no. They have a temporary exhibit about tattoos going on. It was a good exhibit, but caught me by surprise that tattoos would be an exhibit at a Navy Museum. The exhibits are modern in... More
