Handsome brick buildings from the late 1800s now house shops, galleries, bakeries, and restaurants. It's a fairly small area, perfect for a quiet evening walk.

It was drizzly so we walked around quickly and found a place for lunch. Nice little district for a meal and some shopping. Plenty of parking on a drizzly day.

Coni J So sorry you weren't able to find parking - for your next visit, know that there is a large gravel lot located off 11th street (across from Avenue Bread) that will pretty much always have parking available.

Many shops are open in Fairhaven on Sundays. Most restaurants are open on Sundays; many offer brunch menus. Also, there are often special events on the weekends, including Sunday.
