As a local to Washington I was pleasantly surprised to discover Lake Whatcom, similar to Whatcom Falls Park you will fall in love with the simple beauty of nature. The lake was much larger than I thought. Nice drive, breathe in fresh air!

The water is cold and clear. There are multiple parks and hiking trails around it. We enjoyed seeing all the birds during our walks. There is also pretty good fishing.
