This is one of the most amazing place to go hike when you dont want to drive to far. It is literally right in the midst of town.

The Falls are high right now so they are a great picture spot. Do not expect a huge fall, it is a low falling one but a nice wide one. There is a perfect loop you can take if you go left after you cross...More

This park, just off busy Lakeway Ave, is a quiet, lush rainforest like woods with easy trails and gorgeous waterfalls. Great for either a quick quiet lunch break or stay the afternoon and explore. There is plenty of parking and a large grassy area for...More

Absolutely beautiful. Both the falls and the park. Wonderful trails and great big trees. Really beautiful old arched stone bridge with moss and bright green little ferns growing on it. The creek is very pretty as well. Nice picnic areas and also covered space. Plenty...More

This park is very easy to access from downtown Bellingham. The night before our visit, there was a very heavy rainfall, so the water falls were very impressive. The trails are well kept with no steep sections. It is obviously very popular with the locals...More

Whatcom Falls Park is a great place to walk easy trails through the woods. It is particularly wonderful early in the morning when the only sounds you’ll like hear is the rushing creek, waterfallls, and birds chirping.

Beaufifully groomed trails and people pick up after their dogs! Spend 30-90 minutes walking the trails and taking in the falls, trees and interpretive info boards for the fish hatchery. Not great for wheel chairs but doable with a strong person to push but great...More

The trail is in the middle of the parking lot to the left if you are driving in. I did not do the whole trail only to the bridge where the main falls are.

Yes, there are many places in the park to read a book. If you want to be near the falls, I would of course bring a folding chair or spread a blanket.

you can do in as little as 10 minutes. the falls are right off the parking lot. if you follow the trails you can walk for as long as you'd like.
