An island of tranquility in a sea of traffic! A lot of nice flat trails along the Potomac. Great water and wetland views. Depending on the time of year, eagles, ospreys, hawks, herons and turkeys can be seen.

Wild turkeys, bald eagles, hawks and lots of chains, song birds and small mammals. Good hiking. Lots of bugs in the summer. Few now plus some of the birds have started to migrate for winter. Very nice peaceful and quiet trails. Some parking too and...More

Take your binoculars if you want to see the eagles nesting. Roads and trails we’re closed for the eagles. Some trash washed up from the Potomac. My wife picked up 5 ticks there in half a day.

Wonderful hike! Quiet, solitary, nature-rich hike. Many options and trails. Lots of wildlife (and mosquitoes - to be expected in the summer). I will definitely come back. Very enjoyable.

We saw foxes, deer, turkey, bald eagles, eastern bluebirds, lesser gold fences and indigo buntings and my wife brought home 5 (five) deer ticks. The eagles nests block 1/3 of the Park from walking traffic so plan to do a lot of extra walking and...More

Great place for a quick journey into the woods. Pleasant trails with much of them along the bay or river. Some wildlife with mostly birds. Chance to see bald eagles and ospreys diving and catching fish.

Just got a $115 ticket for riding a bike there, when their sign says nothing about no bikes but mentions no drones, alcohol, fireworks, dogs, camping, fishing, skates, skateboards, kites, audio devices, fires, and feeding, disturbing or removing of plants or animals, or their parts...More
