Great little tour

Brian was filled with information on this approximate 1 hour tour. A must visit if you are in the area and in awe of TSJ as I am.

Had a great tour. Just about an hour. Very good info throughout the tour. Learned more than I thought I would have about Thomas Jackson.

Genl Jackson was a great man who was very competent at his profession. Of course the house will seem empty without the presence of his personality. Having said that, the guides are knowledgeable and helpful. This is an important stop for any serious Civil War Student.

Very nice narration through the rooms, led by period dressed people. There is a small giftshop. Ti buy a combo for the other 2 attractions as well.

Small group tour with great in depth information. Guild took time to answer and explain all questions. No feeling of being rushed.

We almost passed on this as we had to drive home. This is THE best preserved house/museum we have ever visited. We have been to many Civil War museums. This is by far the best collection of Stonewall Jackson artifacts we have ever seen. Kudos to the ladies who give the tour. Outstanding!

My wife and I and another couple went to this tour not expecting a whole lot, but were presently surprised. The tour guide was amazing! He was very interesting and extremely knowledgeable. Learned so much about Jackson that I never knew. Only $5 to get in, but the tour was worth $20. Mary Tyler Moore is a descendant of the... More

Jackson's winter headquarters from 1861-62 is an amazing historic site. It offers multiple period pieces, many unique to Stonewall himself: prayer book, locks of hair, prayer table, camp chair with original upholstery, office desk, and many others. The building ranks among the top civil war sites I've visited. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. Outstanding! Highly recommended!

Tour guides are knowledgeable and there is a lot of history packed into this small downtown location. The site is within easy walking distance of the main downtown Winchester area. If you enjoy history and are in Winchester, you have to check this place out.
