Wifee and I visited Stonewall Jackson's HQ and Brian told us about this place. There are a couple of metered parking stalls out front that they cover for free parking when you visit. Becky was helpful in explaining some of the displays.

Interesting facet of George's young life in Virginia as a surveyor and colonel in Virginia militia. Worth the stop and admission.

Interesting information but light on artifacts and anything that would allow you to experience what it was like when Washington used the office. Mostly plaques with re-created pictures. Good for a one time visit.

Visited this historic building on a recent trip to Winchester. It is very small but some interesting displays. The staff is knowledgable.

but it's a neat building, with extensive information on historical plaques. We enjoyed reading them and the lovely scenery.

Great place to start to getting to know the man, George Washington started out surveying this town. The people are very knowledgeable and helpful.
