We arrived in Virginia Beach the Tuesday after Labor Day and one evening during our stay we were walking up Atlantic Ave and ran across this monument. If you are in the area & have an interest in aviation, do not miss this monument!

Right off of the boardwalk when we were visiting, we didn't expect a historical tour of the naval aviation (planes of which could be seen and heard flying right overhead while we were there!), and it was quite a little treat. And the free price...More

This is a terrific monument on the Virginia Beach boardwalk, right behind the Norwegian Lady statue. A rambling bronze and granite set of statues and exhibits recounting the history of naval aviation from the early 1900’s through today. There are many plaques to read along...More

These statues are well worth a stop if you are in Virginia Beach. There is a lot of history surrending the statues.
