A.R.E. is a curiosity. Edgar Cayce died before the end of WW II, and many of his ideas are more curious then convincing. But A.R.E. has managed to stay relevant with an emphasis on new age health care. Fascinating place to tour.

Very friendly and accommodating staff, wonderful book store. Great tour through thr visitor center, ended the day with a talk given by Peter Van Dam about healthy living, it was very informative. We did not have time to visit the entire facility, will return to do so. All in all it was a very delightful day.

The ARE Health spa is a wonderful place to relax and unwind. I have enjoyed several treatments there including cranial sacral therapy, a colonic, massage and reflexology. The Professional Staff are healers and I recommend this without any reservation.

At the ARE, Edgar Cayce's site at Virginia Beach Metaphysical studies are normal and experiences can be shared with knowledgeable people. The library covered decades of remedies from Edgar Cayce's experience. Many of the remedies tried by me and others I know have worked well. Seeking or delving into the occult; this is the place to go. God given purpose... More

Even if you are not interested in New Age experiences this is a beautiful place. It's meditation room on the top floor of the library is peaceful and spectacular. Plus you can get a great casual meal in a beautiful setting at the Leapin Lizard Cafe in the main "old hospital" building. But if you are interested in metaphysics or... More

This would be the second time for me visiting A.R.E. I made an appointment for a massage and facial on New Year's Eve. I was really looking forward to my treatment due to my long trip to Va. The front desk asked me if I would be ok with a male massage therapist and I said I would be fine... More

I began reading Edgar Cayce's books when I was a teenager and was always fascinated by him and what he had to say about life. Going to the A.R.E. was a dream of mine and when I finally made it, I was very impressed. It's an extremely peaceful place, don't miss the Asian garden, and the personnel are very helpful.... More

We've had several couples massage here. Very clean, friendly, professional staff. An awesome place to visit. They have very good food (and drink) for sit down and carry out. Don't forget to take the time to walk the labyrinth!

Edgar Cayce founded this center. Known as the Sleeping Prophet, Mr. Cayce developed natural herbal remedies for various ailments. Visitors can tour the building and discuss remedies, do research, and enjoy the tranquility.

After 26 years of being a member I finally made it here. The experience was overwhelming. I took a conference here which was enjoyable and everybody I meant was wonderful. To see the history and all the history and Casey readings truly was a blessing in my life. They have a new café which is great food local and wonderful... More
