I really enjoyed walking along the boardwalks. Wish we could have seen more birds, but other than a few seagulls & sandpipers, we didn't see any. We did see 3 snakes, 2 brown water snakes & a black racer. I was just happy that none...More

Great place to spend a few hours. Very Peaceful. I first came here when I moved to this area over 20 years ago. Rode my bike south on the trails, crossed the dunes and walked it back on the beach. It was like I was...More

Visited Back bay for the first time. Beautiful trails and boardwalks. Bring water if you plan on seeing more than the trails near the parking area. Very pleasant staff at the visitor center.

Hubby and I enjoy visiting the all the wildlife refuges during our travels. The Back Bay was a pretty area, a nice boardwalk trail and lovely views.

We got there late in the day. Was not prepared for the weather & didn't have a lot of daylight left. Plan on going back for sure. Nice walk on the beach. Bring your binoculars most definitely.

I hate snakes big time. The women at the visitors center said they are out and about but that they normally stay away from people. We took the one trail by the bay and it was high grass on both sides with a gravel path. I... More

I have 2 children 4 and 7 when we went there and they loved it! They were content with just seeing a blue heron and a couple turtles.😊
