I have rated this attraction "average" as we found out that it was not handicapped accessible and did not enter it due to that. The rest of the members in our group enjoyed their tour.More

Great way to get some local history on how the rescue of ships got started. Great gift shop with local jewelry and books on ships as well as prints on sea related objects.

Nice small museum. It was very interesting and would recommend it to anyone visiting the area. I believe it is staffed with volunteers and they do a good job

Lot of old artifacts on display. A volunteer guide to get you started on the history of Coast guard lifesaving. Make sure you go up stairs for a peek. Nice, quite cool place.

This building is on the National Register of Historic Places. In 1903 men organized to rescue people on ship that were going down. It has many pictures and artifacts of the methods used in their rescue. I found it very interesting.

This is a cool little spot to dip into if you're down at the oceanfront. Gives you a good idea of some Coastie things, and you can certainly cool down while you're in there. Worth visiting.
