Algonkian Regional Park enjoys a gentle stretch of the Potomac, as does Trump National Golf Club, which adjoins it on the east. Walk along the river and play golf at the park, without the club fees. Just a hop out of DC, minutes north of Rt. 7, this park is a gem. (And the President could save his time and... More

This is part of the regional park system in Northern Virginia; we are blessed to live nearby. My wife, some friends and I enjoy walking along the Potomac river under the sycamores, picnicking at the pavilions, biking ... and our neighbors go boating or play golf. The riverside trails are part of the Potomac Heritage Trail system, giving access to... More

Nice park, but needs better up-keep. Good views of the river, boat ramp, golf course, cabins and a waterpark. Broken facilities and trash are problems for this park.

This is a family park with areas for grilling with seating for small and large groups. There are hiking trails and a launch for small boats.

I have regularly visited the park to launch my boat and for Church Picnics. The park has a public golf course, a public pool, picnic shelters and lots of open space to explore. Visit in early morning or late afternoon and you will see deer grazing on the golf course. All in all a really nice place just to visit... More

We love to walk along the paths, both beside the Potomac river and the White trail. There is something to see in every season and the time to unplug is peaceful and calming. Learning the times the park is busy with boaters and people in the picnic areas, or golfers, allows you to interact with others who also enjoy the... More

I live around the corner from the park. I have used the park many times. Great trails and paved paths for a nice walk. You can pick a wooded path or one that parallels the river. The park is dog friendly. Excellent golf course as an option. The park also has cabins to rent for a nice quiet getaway. Lastly,... More
