After biking parts of the Virginia Creeper Trail and the New River Trail, heading north on I81 we searched for a bier hall. Found this gem. It was mid afternoon and about 90 and sunny so we opted for inside and air conditioned!
We walked there from downtown Roanoke (about 1/2 mile but easy, level ground, 15 minute walk). We love sitting outside listening to live music and this was the perfect place for that! Although it was a good crowd, there was plenty of seating and short...More

Glad you had a good time. The bus station that’s 4 blocks away really has nothing to do with our establishment so sorry you feel it reflects on us.
My wife and stopped for a short visit around 5pm on a Thursday. Parking was a bit scarce but at least there is a dedicated lot with about 30-40 spaces. Atmosphere was great with both indoor and outdoor options available. Indoor had bar seating, large...More
Let me start by saying I'm not a big beer drinker. I went here for the atmosphere. Met some friends for dinner across the street (Big Lick does not serve food) and then walked over and sat outside. I sampled one of their beers and...More

Thanks - glad you had a good time.
Although we do not serve food - the restaurant across the street you mention (Tuco's Taqueria) has a kiosk in our brewery that you can order from, swipe your credit card, and they will bring it right...More
Came here with a friend to try the beer. Was a little upset that they were out of the ones I kept wanting but it was good beer nonetheless. Great outdoor seating. Didn’t get to see much of the service in action but they were...More
There's more than a dozen breweries in the Roanoke Valley, but this is hands-down my favorite. Always a large, diverse beer selection, and don't think I've ever had anything bad. Not a huge IPA person, but if you are, try the Peace, Love & Hoppiness...More
Stopped by for some evening beers; was pleased overall with Big Lick. The beer was good, location GREAT, visually appealing and prices were reasonable. The only negative I came away with was the merch section. Sizes were limited to the super large sizes and the...More

Thanks - yes the merch sells really quick. We received a new shipment of shirts as well as hats in last week.
Any specifics to what you want, let us know and we will try to see if it’s available in our new shipment.
I've visited this brewery many times, both in their old place and their most recent location. The head brewer and brewery staff know their stuff, producing top quality beer with a variety of standards and small batch brews as well as barrel aged offerings. So...More
Stinks case we were there a few weeks before a planned location change so they had limited beers available. That said the ones they did have were really very good.
For me they were the best brewery in the city. Its too bad they don't...More

Thanks. At the new location, we have a much better setup regarding food. We have an arrangement with two restaurants, Beamer's 25 next door as well as Tuco's Taqueria across the street. Order from their menus in our taproom and they will deliver it to...More
Great Spot to just lounge and come as your are! The outdoor space is one of Roanoke's finest. Casual Atmosphere that is complimented by some outstanding Brews. The Staff is Fantastic and they are located in an up and coming area that is super accessible!
