Stopped on our way to Harrisonburg from Tennessee to stretch our legs and have a walk. We had no problem finding a parking space near the farmer's market. We enjoyed the aquariums, roof top patio views, the fish pond and would have loved to have seen the butterflies but just happened they were closed when we visited. Many shops and... More

Here for an evening reception. Views from the upper deck were beautiful. Many fun activities available across several floors (ex: a cool pinball room that is huge & was enjoyed by the adults). Great venue for cocktail reception - we had a fairly large group - staff was wonderful.

The parking downtown stinks the prices to park are outrageous. Also there isn't enough non commercial parking available on the streets and when you actually get a spot on the street the parking guy that marks your tires actually comes around sooner then the full hour so you then get a ticket. This is ridiculous

Center in the Square is the central feature of downtown Roanoke. Surrounded by nifty bars and restaurants and shops, Center in the Square is a spot not to be missed next time you visit Roanoke. Be sure to check inside the market as well as outside.

I've been to the Center in the Square building several times as part of the Roanoke Food Tour. The history they give you on the building is interesting and the views from the roof are outstanding. I was there in the spring and the winter - anytime seems to be a good time to visit.

What a cool area. We unfortunately were only able to explore a little bit in the morning before everything was open. But it's a beautiful area with a lot of restaurants and shops. It was easily accessible from the Hotel Roanoke over the pedestrian bridge. I can see spending several trips here to try all the different places. We'll be... More

Nice downtown area in Roanoke. Kind of busy at lunch and the parking makes the street feel small. Lots of restaurants , bars, specialty shop, regular business , offices all around. It's basically the entertainment hub of Roanoke. There is an open air market as its anchor. Not much produce going on, more an open space with some local faster... More
