What was once a quiet remote lake is now crowded with rude boaters who feel compelled to blast music at all hours and throw their garbage in the lake. Too bad..it used to be nice. There have been instances of gang related violence in the camping areas.

My family all met at Lake San Antonio the Week before Labor Day. While they all stayed on the North Shore we stayed at the south shore in a Cabin. The lake itself was nice (we like Lake Berressa better) and not too many people on it. The cabins are little modular units with two, three and four bedrooms. They... More

Went camping here on Labor Day Weekend of 2012. Our tent is so big you can park a mini van in it. We were happy to see that after a long day of driving (and exhausting all possibilities at nearby Lake Nacimiento), we had no trouble finding a big flat camp site for our massive tent and without having a... We have been to several lakes, but after playing in the water with my baby for 5 min. My feet were covered in really small leeches. About 100 on each foot that wouldnt come off. So disgusting. We did catch 3 catfish pretty easy and that was cool! You can camp right on the water, but for us it isn't... More

We stayed as a family on this lake for 5 nights. My immediate family stayed in a tent and my wife's family stayed in an RV. Here you can pull right up to the water and set up camp. There are several coves where you can set up shop. The beach is not too rocky so it makes it great... More

Spent 3 days here. Great for wildlife viewing. There are sssssoooooo many deer that you won't go three feet without seeing them. Wild Turkeys, squirrels and chipmunks too. The campsites are looking a little run down and in need of help soon but the weather was great. There is a restaurant and store at the campground. Boat docks and fuel... More

This place didn't have much to do and the campground was very dusty, windy, and hot. They had nice showers and restrooms, though. Unless you have your own boat, there really is nothing to do. The boat rentals are expensive and inconvenient as well. They have certain hours when you have to rent them, or you don't get them.

If you like watersports, this lake is for you! We camped here in August of '07, and let me tell you...HOT doesn't begin to describe it! Luckily, the lake was warm, which was suprising...but the downside is that the hike to and from the lake is a doozy if you are staying in the campground part. There is also shore... More
