Fabulous hosts and tasting experience today at Muirlea Rise. Love this winery and their personal and down to earth approach, along with fantastic wines. Thanks for a great experience Hilary and Shaun. Highly recommended and we’ll definitely be back.

Intimate tasting experience. Tasting Pinot Nior with feta cheese a great tiuch. Would have been a better review had the server Shawn not told a gay joke to a married queer couple stating the pinot 'was so fruity his father would be rolling in his grave' super unimpressed. Average wine, rehearsed a repeated the same jokes to every costumer.

Shawn Brown kicked us 3 girls out because we were sitting on a table and talking to each other while enjoying the wine. He didn't give us a reasonable explanation why we had to leave (except the above said). Why provide a seating area if you are not allowed to use it? Why invite people to your winery if you don't like people to talk? Furthermore, whenever he poured us a new glass of wine, we would expect some explanation about the specific wine from him, asking interested questions. However, he was very snippy and short from the beginning. He was inexplicably rude. I can absolutely NOT recommend you to go to Muirlea Rise.

Loud, casual, friendly, happy man in his element. Shawn Brown is a showman but produces very nice wine. I see one person wasn't happy with his sense of humour in the reviews - a bit precious I think - everything in great fun - I asked if he had any business cards and was presented with a couple of corks with the name and email printed on them - outstanding! The whole tasting room was happy and we chatted to a number of others while there - all were having a great time. One of my favourite tastings and I highly recommend it

Vaguely aware of the label, biking past and did a u turn back, which was the correct decision. Shawn the winemaker/owner is a character, caustic but in a fun way, calls it as he see's it. Pinot Noir's were good but highlight the fortified wines - Apres. An entertaining cellar door which you should not miss.
