What a wonderful way to while away a morning .... A long stretch of white sand by the Indian Ocean, a light ocean breeze and picture-perfect blue sky ... all add up to help one shed away the worries of the world!

While travelling through Perth en route to Johannesburg, we stopped off at Cottesloe Beach and had an enjoyable afternoon at the beach to kill time. The pristine beach with a myriad of cafe's and eateries is something worthwhile doing!

We visited at the end of September on a warm sunny day but the beach was almost deserted. So much sand to ourselves and it was so clean and white. A beautiful beach with several eating houses nearby this area has a massive tick and...More

We loved Cottesloe beach-both north and south. We visited during the day and came back to watch the sunset. A perfect place to watch the sun go down. Clean and beautiful beach and water is so many lovely shades of blue.

Cottesloe Beach is a very nice beach and surrounding coastal strip. Maybe not the perfection of our eastern beaches and coastline, but very nice all the same. Very popular with Kite Surfers..!

My daughter, her husband and I walked along the path at the beach that took us up and around to see the water from an overlook vantage point and also some sculpture along the way. We stopped for a rest at the historic Indiana bathing...More

I caught the train from Perth Central, simple and easy to navigate. Walked the 1.9km to the end of the road then turned left...and strolled along the beach. The view is spectacular even on a windy day. Cottesloe has many cafes and restaurants to choose...More

An iconic beach here in WA, worth a visit. Beautiful white sand as always here, a couple of restaurants with ocean views. Local residents have blocked so many proposals to upgrade the area. Hasn’t changed much in many many years..

This is one of Perth's most popular sandy beaches. There are nice paved paths for walking. The water is amazingly blue and there are some decent restaurants nearby. It is also a short drive from Perth's CBD.

There are no organised activities, just personal beach walking, night photography of the exhibitions if you are into it or eating dinner at a restaurant nearby

Sadly not for hire. If you go to the main Cottesloe beach there is plenty of shade on the terraces of lawn south of Indiana building.

It's around a mile from the Beach, so if you like Walking fine, otherwise if it was me I would choose a location by Cottesloe Beach which is superb
