We children had a great time
There was activities a great dressing up box with historical costumes
Old fashioned toys to play with
And staff willing to chat to the children and tell then interesting facts
Will go on next visit.
If i had been told before visiting we would have gone there. As it was a family visit to see family there in Romford. More advertising or signage need to be put by market place to indicate its there.
The Havering Museum is a celebration of local history and deserves a visit. Much of the inspiration for this idea came from Ian Wilkes a local entrepreneur and fervent amateur historian. Go and have a look for an hour or so.
Staff are well knowledgeable about the history and narratives surrounding the artefacts in the museum as well as incredibly friendly, it’s a great small museum cheaply priced and has an option for tea and coffee and biscuits when going in a group
