This place trumps a play centre every day of the week! Loads to do for kids, with plenty of hands on activities throughout the museum and art gallery. It’s probably one of the most kiddie friendly museums in north west!

Visited with our three granddaughters ages 8, 5 & 5. Had a delicious lunch in the cafe - great choice and very reasonably priced. The museum itself was excellent with so many hands on activities for the children that we only managed to fit in...More

Popped in for a quick look around whilst had an hour free .the museum is great and very informative. Well laid out and interactive . Great clean well decorated for the age . Then went into the cafe which had good seating and decent choice...More
A short walk down the hill from the Best Western hotel to visit the museum was well rewarded with a fascinating hour and a half insight into Rochdale's interesting history. Well worth it and a good base for our tram ride to Manchester's national football...More

I visited Rochdale for the first time, and I was surprised by the variety of things to do. To get to Touchstones, its best to hop on a tram opposite the railway station,which drops you at the bus station.
