Rochdale's fabulous Grade-I Victorian Gothic town hall is renowned worldwide for its unique and detailed architecture. The building was opened on 27th September 1871 by George Leach Ashworth, then Mayor of Rochdale at a cost of around £150,000. Full tours take place on the first Monday of each month at 2.15pm and last about 2 hours. Short tours take place every Wednesday at 2.15pm and lasts 1 hour.

You must visit this building and if you can see the magnificent stairs, look in the main room you will not be disappointed.

Went for lunch to celebrate Christmas with other volunteers from the local Foodbank. Food was very good and service not to be faulted in any way. Food value for money with 2 courses for £14.99, nice newly renovated surroundings now known as The Clock Tower....More

First visit to Rochdale and the town hall is the crowning glory. This is a super building both inside and out. A great gothic building which a magnificent interior.

The Town Hall tours cost £4.95 but you can walk into the entrance hall and through to the restaurant without cost.
