Visited midweek, v busy, muddy car park but all other paths solid, visitor centre only open at weekends in winter, v good hides all overlooking scrapes, not many birds seen until 1 hr before dusk when we saw 5 marsh harriers and a curlew sandpiper....More

We visited today and wondered where all the birds were this morning. However as the afternoon went on more birds appeared. Flocks of pink footed geese and golden plover flew past and we had good views of the Marsh harriers and waders from the hides...More

We sailed through this lovely site earlier in the year. Such a pretty place - land and sea! Hopefully we will get back for a walk someday soon!
