Watched the birds and swans on the Ings for half an hour before the cold forced us in to coffee shop. This was basic but provided a good hot coffee. will try again on a warmer day. Would be great for kids as looked like some good walks

Such a lush and pretty view everywhere you turn, lots of nature and birds you'd have no chance of seeing in your garden. Fantastic.

A beautiful place with stunning views great for a good walk and a break from the madness. Be prepared for a great walk but definitely worth it.

What a find. Glorious winter walk. Hundreds of birds on the feeders which you can watch from the warmth of the inside picnic area. Food and drinks available from OK vending machine. Little RSPB shop too. Staff are very friendly and super helpful. Mobility scooter to hire too. Great family outing. Thank you RSPB.

Have been coming here since I was a kid. Perfect for walks with there being several circular routes to be found. Have incorporated part of the reserve into some cycle routes. Always some interesting bird and insect life to see.

It's a great walk around to see all kinds of nature. It's not just ducks. We see lots of insect life and squirrels every time we go. The little playground is a hit and the carved statues are amazing. I especially like the giant dragonfly.

If you want a pleasant walk, in wonderful surroundings and with wildlife in abundance - this is ideal. We visit a couple of times a month for a walk, bring the dslr down and take photos of the birds and wildlife. The hides are all accessible for able and disabled bodied people and you can get a wheelchair to everywhere... More

I feel privileged to live so close to such a fantastic spot of natural beauty. Only 3ish miles from me now. But I have been a regular frequenter since I was a toddler (Im 43 now!) and never get bored. This is a one time open cast mine site that was left to nature to reclaim, and is now an... More

Lovely evening walk. The only thing that let's it down are the dog owners who don't pick up their poop.

£1 for a bag of duck food per child and it occupies them for ages. The are loads of little or long walks. The bird hide is great and you always see loads of birds. There's a tiny park with wooden things to climb on. Pond dipping in summer which is free if you join the rspb. Take a picnic... More
