I loved how they left the house (almost) exactly like it was on the day Dalí moved out. The ticket office ladies were superfriendly; our guide didn't seem too into showing yet another group of tourists around. The setting however is lovely, and it is...More

The house is a solid proof of Dali's creativity. One is amazed walking from one crazy room to an even more weird next room. Impressive!

Visita obligada si vas a Cadaqués-Portlligat y te gusta Dalí. Reservar con antelación ya que está muy solicitado. Mandatory visit if you go to Cadaqués-Portlligat and you like Dalí. Previous reservation is recommended because is very in demand.

For car rental, there are several in Figueras (Europcar, Budget, etc) and in Girona. Driving should be straight forward, but make sure you have a good GPS if you want to make the Dali triangel.

I think you have the answers to your question above. I would add that I believe it would be a mistake not to give Cadaques a bit more time. Consider spending a night or two there.
