Was interesting to learn about Dalí’s personal life through a visit to the final version of his homestead... The video at the top of the garden detailing the evolution of the construction of the house was surprisingly good. The house seems to be in original...More

This Dali home full of quirky artifacts was almost like a fairy-tale gnome house with many corners, full of Dali's personal collectibles, reflecting the man's artistic idiosyncracies. The most impressive thing here was his original design of the first hanging canvas frame for large paintings....More

Not your typical house! However, it perfectly reflects Dali’s persona, his unique character and creative nature. Over a period of 40 years, Dali acquired many small fishermen’s houses in the tiny village of Portlligat, connecting them in a quirky way, to finally create a home,...More

Dali showed his sense of fun in this house and it is the most memorable home I've ever seen. Worth visiting.

The house is fascinating with lots of tiny details. The tour is not long and the tour guide does not speak too much..but does answer questions. The shop opposite does serve beer id u r waiting for friends.

First off, the drive to get there is absolutely beautiful. The setting at the house, by the ocean, in the cove is really unusual. I started thinking immediately that I wanted to rent a cottage nearby and spend a really lazy week hanging out here....More

Interesting historically, somewhat informative by the guide. Interesting to see how he lived, hard to believe that he apparently was drug free and died a virgin supposedly! Perhaps that’s why he was so eccentric, this was his only creative outlet, not sure...very creative in the...More

After your visit, you will have a better understanding of this complex, sophisticated artist. Worth the visit even if you don't appreciate his work.

For car rental, there are several in Figueras (Europcar, Budget, etc) and in Girona. Driving should be straight forward, but make sure you have a good GPS if you want to make the Dali triangel.

I think you have the answers to your question above. I would add that I believe it would be a mistake not to give Cadaques a bit more time. Consider spending a night or two there.
