Have a lovely walk round Corralejo which included a short visit round the Puerto de Corralejo. Also went back when sailing over to Lanzarote

The Puerto de Corralejo is a nice busy area with bars, shops and restaurants all in easy walking distance

Wednesday 7th February and we walked around the Port area of Corralejo.

What a vast array and mixed bag of boats were anchored or moored up here.

There were the larger passenger ferries, Fred Olsen, Lineas Romero, Armas and Naviera Nortour, which regularly transported passengers to and from Corralejo and other parts of the Canaries.

There were smaller ferries that travelled back and forth between Isla de Lobos.

Small fishing boats were moored up at the pontoons alongside yachts of all shapes and sizes

Along the waterfront it is lined with a number of small kiosks selling tickets for a variety of tours, boat hire, fishing trips, water taxis, jet ski safaris and trips to Lobos Island. Behind the kiosks is the Government of the Canary Islands Vice-Ministry of Fisheries buildings.

There were some resturants and a bar in the Port area.

Standing in front of the kiosks there are a number of statues of colourful fish. These
stand on a black stone obelisk shaped plinth, which has a small plaque on which the names of the fish and their scientific names etched upon.

A bustling Port with plenty of activity and places to book water taxis to Lobos and Lanzarote.

Backed by a nice harbour bar and restaurant with plenty mire bars, cafes and shops just a short walk away.

Very busy little Port, plenty of boat trips going on including the fast boat to playa Blanca, surrounded by plenty of bars and restaurants,we didn't find the area very clean and found the graffiti disappointing

Lovely town, great shopping, lots of great bars and restaurants but no sun beds or umbrellas to hire on the beaches due to permit disputes. So if you don’t want to spend a week lying on the Rick hard sand, stay away from Corralejo!! Very disappointing. Never been to a holiday resort where you can’t hire sun beds and umbrellas. The wind is pretty strong and you need an umbrella so you don’t burn.

We are staying in playa blanca on Lanzarote and we took the very expensive fast ferry across to Corralejo. My advice is don’t waste your money. The place is a dump. Lots of graffiti, run down areas, strip joints and bars that appeal to the Benidorm/Blackpool brigade.
