Overview
More
Museum established in the same rooms that occupied Chopin and George Sand during his trip to Mallorca in 1838 and 1839. You can see the authentic piano that Chopin used to compose his preludes in the same room where this and other musical works finished. The collection of historical documents of the museum is entirely dedicated to the figure of Chopin and George Sand, Another attraction of the visit is the garden with spectacular panoramic views. The visit is independent of the rest of Museums. You dont need to buy the other ticket.

Valldemosa itself is well worth a visit, but if you are a fan of classical music and the magic of Chopin, then it's very interesting to see the place he actually stayed while in Majorca. There are some unusual artefacts and when you have finished...More

Valldemossa in the hills 30 min out of Palma is cooler and a favorite of rock climbers and mountain bikers. George Sand and her lover Chopin came here in the winter of 1838 and had a pretty awful time as he was very sick and...More

Very interesting to see Chopin's piano and residence. While it was limited, we were very happy to have gone because the town is wonderful. Touristy, but still maintained its history and age.

I very much enjoyed the Chopin & Sand Museum. We toured the Museum as part of a private tour. I knew about Chopin but not about George Sand (spoiler alert - not really a man) so I found the Museum fascinating. It is not a...More

It was an interesting insight to the time that Chopin and George Sands spent in Valldemossa. However there was a limited structure to the museum. It did give a view from the garden which was spectacular, however it would have been worth their while to...More

The cost is 4 euros each to view not much at all. The rooms are not set out as they were when Chopin was staying there. The staff are like fierce police - you don't date go anywhere but these tiny rooms. The garden outside...More

You need to be careful buying tickets . The main ticket office at the Monastery in Valdemossa sells tickets for 9.5 euros which is for the monastery building and a Chopin memorabilia collection. If you want to see the rooms that Chopin and Sand lived...More
