After visiting the Monestir de Miramar we stopped at Son Marroig on a Saturday morning. We were unsure whether the attraction was open and others seemed to think it was not, although there was no clear signage either way. As such after a short wander around outside we decided to leave and find somewhere else to visit.

A great place to watch the sunset. As opposed to much of tourist filled Mallorca this place caters to Mallorcans. Cheap beer and a crazy vantage point of the water and incredible rock formations that hug the coast of this side of Mallorca. My wife and I met a really cool Mallorcan couple who gave us a delicious bottle of... More

Drove here on a sublimely sunny early Summers day. The views were heavenly especially from the home of Ludwig Salvatore. This stunningly beautiful home set in sumptuously wild gardens offers amazing views of the coastline . There is a lovely white marble temple at the end of the gardens on the cliff edge - perfection for a wedding!

It was interesting to see son maroig given the history and all what its walls have been witnessing. The place is nevertheless run in a suboptimal way. It is dusty and different items of great historical interest are lying here and there, not really well exhibited, sometimes in a "dangerous" manner, (vases from Greek and Roman times on a wooden... This was the venue for a family wedding and the setting was perfect. The sunset was beautiful and a perfect ending to a wonderful day. The food was superb and staff were very attentive. The setting made it a true fairytale.

Wow, breathtaking views out to sea where we were able to watch the sun go down. We were here for a wedding reception and couldn't have been in a better location.
