Really pretty little place with boats bobbing in the clear water. Parking is difficult so best to find a spot in the town and walk down. More traditional than some places as the setting has stopped any real development so worth a visit for that alone.

A rare find today - a road less travelled and all the better for it.
Gorgeous little place that could appear slightly faded in some eyes but really it’s more lived in and real. Greeted by a picturesque little blue chaired cafe that spills over 3 levels and which serves a great macchiato and ensaimada. Even in cloudier conditions today this place shine bright. Loads of photo ops for those who like me love a colourful pic or two and for the Cliff ramblers it’s rocky heaven…
Great place to base yourself for touring this corner of Mallorca and beats getting lost in the side street parking hell of Santanyí…thanks to no easy ways in to this town centre we found this place instead …and kind of really glad we did!

We parked our car a little above the bay so that we could get to the harbor via the small streets along the bay. The houses are very picturesquely built into the steep slopes of the small fishing village. Once we arrived at the harbor, we walked along small paths between the water and the small, rustic boathouses around part of the fjord-like bay. In some places the water reaches right up to the boathouses. It can get slippery there. On the way back we enjoyed the bay once again from a cafe above the bay.

My friend and I visited Cala Figuera several times during my two week vacation in Mallorca. The area is hilly and parking is hard to find. The walk to the harbor is lovely. There are some stairs part of the way and paved walks at other points. At the overview, the view of the harbor and the bright blue sea is stunning. Across the inlet there is a sharp rock face with little doors leading to the unknown. As one continues down to the harbor there are many restaurants, cafes, and an artist's studio. At the bottom one can walk out on to the dock. The bright colored fishing nets make a great photo op,too. A fun place to visit.

Puerto de Cala Figuera is a picturesque seaside town on the Mallorcan coast about an hour's drive from Palma. The harbor
extends inland some distance from the sea. It is well worth the trip combined with lunch at one of the restaurants. It is also served by the local bus system.

We had four attempts to get anywhere near the water to park. We had a tricky time finding anywhere to park and once there, we found there actually wasn’t much to see. It’s a pretty fishing harbour with a few places to eat but for us, the visit wasn’t worth the effort it took.

We holiday in Cala D'Or fairly regularly and always make a point of visiting this picturesque little harbour in Cala Figuera while we are there. We love walking right around the port, watching the fishermen mending their nets and others going out in their boats. Great photo opportunities and the colour of the water is amazing. Afterwards we stop for a drink and ice creams before returning to Cala D'Or.

Just a lovely little spot to wander around and take pictures. We stumbled on it and returned 2 days later to do one of the boat nature trips. Worth a stop for sure.

Hi we are staying in cala D'or and would like to visit cala Figuera for the day, I know it will be easy getting a taxi from cala D'or to get there but wonder how easy it will be getting one back as with it being a traditional Spanish fishing village I am assuming there won't be many taxis about the area?

Is it on a mountain road? Thanks
Written 16 March 2018
No, it isn't. But the nicer parts of Cala Figuera are on a steep descent down to the water. And not all roads can be travelled by car (or are one ways).
