Happened upon this church while walking around the village; regrettably it was not open to view when we visited but it appeared to be an interesting church nevertheless. Maybe next time I’ll get to see the interior.

The small San Sebastian Church is locaed at the Plaza de la Libertad / Calle La Libertad and dates back to the 17th century.
Like amost every house and building in Mijas, the facedes of this chruch are white-washed as well.
Characteristic for this church is that it does not have a bell tower; bells are incorperated into the bell-shaped top of the front side facade.
If tou go inside, you can see how small this chruch really is, in my opninion it looks more like a chapel. The altar looks nice.
The church is open every day, so a short look inside is recommendabe.

The church is a unique architecture that nowhere you can find in the Philippines. Please help and donate some money for its renovation and maintenance (I did)....

On the corner of Calle San Sebastian , and Plaza de la Libertad , a very nice and simple little church worth looking at and sit and reflect for a few minutes.
