    Average course in average condition
Booked a round with club hire, 35 Euro for a beaten up 6 year old set of irons is a rip off, those clubs must have paid for themselves 10 times over, Mijas should do better with better condition newer clubs. Played Los Lagos, starter was as friendly as a wild bear, I’ve not played in Spain for many years and the course was a surprise, they watered the fairways so much there was zero run on the drives and the ball was picking up mud after every shot, this was the middle of summer! This made the course play very long, Course was ok, greens ran true but where covered in yellow pitch marks which made the greens ugly. 1/2 way house was poorly stocked with food options. Overall a fairly average experience, with so many courses I won’t be back.

Owners want more money but won’t spend on the course
Unfortunately the greens on Olivos are in a poor state and this should be reflected in the price but not! 5 hour rounds should not be the norm. Girls in the pro shop are very helpful as is the starter. Been coming here for the winter for the last 3 years and it seems the attention to detail including the state of the bunkers is poor. Other courses nearby are in better shape as per my recent reviews. Owners want more money but not spending on keeping this a great course-

Nice course, relaxed clubhouse, good shop
We played Olivos course and enjoyed it immensely. The course is in great condition for February and I felt that the greens compared very favourably to La Cala, with more consistent roll and fewer dormant patches of grass. The course is friendly and playable for all handicap players. I would say that the par 3 holes are the more interesting holes, but there are plenty of narrow greens, elevations etc to make for an interesting round. We use trolleys and found the course accessible, without the huge elevations that some courses in the area have. Overall this is a really good day out. The shop is well stocked and the restaurant is excellent. A welcoming experience overall. One significant area for improvement is on course facilities. Drinking water is not available aside from halfway, which I really think is a minimum requirement. If there is a beverage cart, we certainly did not see it all day.

A flat course that was quick to [play 3 1/2 for a 4 ball, lots of water, greens were the best of the 4 courses in the area we played. More of a commercial club then a friendly golf golf club. Did not eat here but food looked good. Tricky holes with greens sloping to water. Would play again

Despite requesting a discount after playing 18 holes on Los Olivos course (withvery poor green condition), registered edition could only blame the local Town Hall for a direction to use the incorrect wastewater to treat the greens. Subsequently NO discount awarded - just a shrug of the shoulders!!

All this despite that club members have been given a discounted rate of low season fees until 30 September.

But this doesn't apply to other fee paying customers!!

We just have to pay normal rates for poor quality!!

Played los Olivios this week to be informed the greens were in a poor condition - a massive understatement. . 70 % plus of the putting surface was just sand, like putting on the beach. As a scratch golfer the most important part of the course is always the greens. We were offered a discount to winter rates !! The refund has not appeared. The Greenkeepers were working extremely hard to over seed the greens but they will take time for the overseeding creeping fescue grass to establish to give a playable putting surface .

I had an apalling experience on Mijas Golf yesterday - booked Los Lagos. It took 2hours 40 minutes to play the front nine holes, One had to wait on evey hole to hit the next shot. Even though I had paid for 18 holes I got out of there after nine holes. It was so frustrating. Obviously the objective of the company is to get as many people out as possible and it doesn't matter how long it takes them to complete a round.Avoid this place if you re interested in pleasant game of golf

We have played Mijas Lagos once a year for the past several years and always enjoyed and looked forward to the round. We played the course last week. The course generally was in a very disappointing condition compared to previous occasions. There were a huge number of dry divots throughout the fairways, a number of bald patches on the greens and bunkers lacking sufficient sand. A number of the greens were not to the standard of a course that charges €95 including buggy.

The restaurant service, food, putting green and driving ranges were good. The new fleet of buggies are a nice addition.

However, we go there for the golfing experience.

It is likely to take considerable time and effort to return this course to its former glory so unfortunately this course will not be played by us in future. The course condition is simply not worth the level of green fees.

Course was fine but having travelled from Ireland to play, we rented golf clubs. Assuming we were renting as we travelled from abroad without clubs, we were advised they didn’t supply any golf balls or tees for the round so we had to buy balls and tees (and gloves which we should have brought in retrospect).

They refused to accommodate us and we had to dump the balls afterwards as we wouldn’t bring them back in our carry on luggage due to the weight. The club clearly play on this in order to sell more which I feel reflects very pool customer service.

Won’t play here again!

This golf course was a disappointment to say the least. We booked our tee time as recommended by the club staff but was greeted by numerous diggers and machinery making the first hole unplayable. The grass was hard and dry and not well-kept. The club house restaurant was a plus but not anything to call home about. An unfortunate start to what was meant to be a great time.

Played Los Lagos this year

Excellent course, greens are one of the most forgiving out there. Played very long.
Nice clubhouse/bar and practice area.

I wouldn't say it was great value for money as the buggies are 35euro extra.
Overall the course is forgiving and good fun

A great warm up knock, played both course Los Lagos and Los Olivos during the tour. Lagos personally my preference over the two course but both equally similar in difficulty and game play. Forgiving but also challenging in parts. Clubhouse leaves a lot to be desired but overall golfing facilities and condition of the course was fantastic. Personally a good warm up course on a golfing trip.

Not great signage to find pro shop. Staff were friendly and course in good condition, plus it’s nice and flat. Driving range was open which is not the case at a lot of courses.
Overall an enjoyable experience
