Nice old bull ring in the town of Mijas. It’s a museum now and some interesting history. Nice to see it.

Visited here twice now just to pass the time, second visit i asked the young women,is the ring still used nowadays and do they have real bulls, the reply was NO GOOD BYE,how rude is that she needs to remember it is visitors that pay to go in here non of the locals do,so manners need to be addressed here, anyway the plastic bull is no longer there its really a waste of money buy an ice cream instead more enjoyable and not rude

Museo Taurina de Mijas is no longer an active bull ring. Today it is a museum to a blood sport of Spain’s past. For a small fee you can view the arena however we chose not to

Well worth a visit. Was unsure what to expect but there’s a lot of history associated to this and it was interesting to walk around and see this venue. It only takes about 30 mins but was time well spent.

I’ve never been to a bullring before. It’s not a ‘sport’ I agree with, but as a cultural insight it was great. The leaflet they give you has just enough information on it to pique your interest. Great having the access to be able to walk in the ring, walk in the stands and see the routes of the bulls and matadors.
We were the only ones in there (11.30am on a Friday in July) so got to play and pretend a bit!
Only €4 each for adults and it was about a 20-30 minute visit. Shop is tiny, but has some gorgeous black and white photo postcards of bull fighters.

This is a great little Bullring to visit, imagine you are watching from the seats or pretend you are fighting the bull.

Very interesting and informative for those who know and appreciate at least a bit about bullfighting. Wouldn't hurt to learn a little about it before you go so that you can appreciate what you're seeing a bit more.

You can bathe in the history of bull fighting here weather you agree with it or not. The setting is fabulous and you can wander around the various areas of the arena and immerse yourself in the atmosphere. If you ascend the stands the views around are superb. You can Imagine how alive this place would be during a bull fight. Well worth a visit.

I am in no way a supporter of bull fighting. But I am interested in the culture behind it. This is in a stunning location and you get a real feeling of the historic events that happened there!! Well worth a visit!

Built into the hillside and one of the smallest bullrings in Spain, dating from the early 20th century, this has a charm that reflects the architecture of Mijas itself.
The visit starts with a small exhibition area and then you are left to explore the bullring itself, with lots of photo opportunities including a bull in the centre of the ring and also the back spaces.
I have visited more grand and classical bullrings elsewhere in Spain, but this is charming and unique and I always enjoy exploring it.
