Awesome piece of history that is alive with hourly bell tower performances and sometimes monk chorus performances inside an ancient cathedral

There is so much to see at the monastery museum complex. Make sure to be stood below the bells on the hour to listen to the beautiful ringing.

Looks spectacular outside, and is worth a look inside to see the buildings and gardens, although the museums are of lesser interest unless you are into religion in a big way.

The staff is non-welcome. Does not worth visiting without a guide. Except the bell ringing every day at noon.

Key destinations here: 1) listen to a religious song (awesome singing and sound) live in the main cathedral (each~15-30 minutes) 2) just next to the cathedral wait a bit and get to a bell ringing concert (each hour? 30 minutes?) 3) climb the monastery wall...More
