We have been to the bigger, well-known port wine lodges, but this is better! Small, intimate and informative. Great value and great wines. Our guide Miguel was great. Not sure why further down this review I'm asked whether I would pay someone to skip the...More
In a land full of Port wine tours, it was a pleasure to find this small third generation excellent Port experience, the price is great, the knowledge on the tour is wonderful and everyone was very helpful. Highly recommend it!
It was a great visit. Very inexpensive. The host has a good knowledge and the tour was very informative. The port tasting was done at the end and fully refunded if you would buy a bottle of Porto. Fun activity for very little money! Family...More

I can't remember the hours offhand, but I think it's 10:00 to 18:00 during the week; weekends may be different. Tours are offered in multiple languages and you might have to wait a short while for an English-language one. Each tour takes about 20-25 minutes followed by tasting.
For tasting, we were offered red and white table wine; a red and a white 6-year-old tawny; and a red and a white 8-year-old tawny. I think we were then able to taste our favourite again.
The tour costs €5 and is refunded if you make a purchase.
