Good fun.

A quick and easy way from the main bridge to the south bank of the Douro, which provides excellent views of the city and the historic port wine warehouses.

I think that this attraction is going to be funny primarily for children. Of course, there is an interesting view from the cabins, but in my opinion, you can see the same (and more) from the streets upper. And for free, while the one ride costs 6 Euro.

Take the Teleferico one-way from the river bank on the Gaia side to the hill station. From there you have spectacular views of the city. Walk across the bridge for more spectacular view. From the other end, you can explore the old town by going mostly down-hill, which is much easier than if doing it from the river level.

My 5 year old son loved it and it was a nice ride toward wineries. Family ticket is very affordable and nice.

It's 6 euros per person to go up this thing. It's a nice view, but to me it wasn't worth it. If you don't want to walk up the hill, the other side has a tram that goes up for 2.5 Euros per trip, less than half the price, then you can walk across the bridge and see the best... More

A short walk from the tram station takes you to a great high level platform with views over the river Douro estuary running through the attractive city of Porto rising on either bank. The cablecar travels from here down to the quayside over the rooftops allowing an easy and exciting descent to restaurants and cafes along the river bank.

If you cross the Dom Luis I bridge & want an easy way to get down to the riverside then the cable cars are an excellent way of doing so. There are great views of both riverbanks, the bridge & the old town too. The cars run smoothly & it's not too expensive for a return ticket.

We paid €8.10/$8.56 per adult, return visit to basically get down the hill. The bridge takes you to the top of the hill and it's almost impossible to figure out how to walk down to the Port tasting area. The gondola is nice, quick and a great way to take some beautiful pictures. We didn't have to wait in line... More

This is a nice if short trip along the banks of the river Douro, from the top of the Ponte Luis I bridge. It's a reasonably priced trip although disappointedly they did try and then sell a picture of us boarding for €5 on each journey. Definitely a good way to get tired young legs down the river though!
