We walked a long way to visit Taylors. It had come highly recommended by a local source. We knew Taylors as a port that is readily available throughout Australia. In fact my husband has cellared a 56-year-old bottle at home. The meander through the streets...More

I'm a Port wine drinker so was attracted to Taylor's (being my namesake!) when visiting Porto. As soon you enter the cellars you smell the Port aroma, which you learn about through an audio-guide tour. The only negative point is that we found the audio...More

This was a birthday treat on a very wet day in Porto. My husband and I shared a lovely port tasting (we tried 5 different ports) and had a plate of cheese and bread basket to accompany it. The service was friendly and efficient, and...More

All the Taylor's wine processes, history and explanations are very interesting. We spent like 3 hrs in the tour made by ourselves with the audio device. At the end, a nice tasting is waiting for you, and you can order food, cheses, etc. A really...More

My husband and I did the audio tour of Taylors with a wine tasting at the end. The grounds are lovely and the staff are friendly. We learned a lot and the port at the end was good.

Having never been one to drink Port wine much I decided, belatedly during a break in Porto, to visit the Port factory. Taylor's is very much a British company from top to bottom and the tour has a distinctively British feel about it. It is...More

The word and the firm are very British but make no mistake, the Wines are Portuguese in every way. Taylor is one of the most respected names among Port shippers and their lodge in Vila Nova de Gaia is among the best.

Hello, We didn't book in advance, we just turned up and it was pretty quiet (about 3pm on a weekday). The tour is by audio guide and that's included in the price, provided to you when you pay.
