The Virginia Zoo is exceptionally nice of a local zoo. There are Lions and Tigers, Lions, and Bears, just to name a few of the mammals. It also has amphibians, birds, and invertebrates. Very nice time is to be had by all.

They should be charging a reduced rate was three areas not open! The white rhinos were not out yet, the reptile area was not open yet and the Australia/Kangaroo area was closed the day we went! What a disappointment.

It was a lot of fun. We got to see the tiger waking up which was pretty cool. You will definitely have to check out the gift shop.

It was a long time since I visited the Norfolk Zoo with my children. I had decided to talk my nephew on the unusually warm February Saturday which was FREE for Virginia residents that month. I was pleasantly surprised on the changes and wonderful new...More
