My wife and I took the 2pm Victory River Naval Base Cruise during our cross-US road trip in October 2016. Check their website for their daily sailing schedule. Parking is across the street in a multi-storey; follow the signs from the Nauticus National Maritime Center, which you will find easily on the promenade. The cruise is very good. We enjoyed... More

This cruise is a must if you are in the area. There are two cruises a day in the winter season 11am & 2pm. The cruise is 2 hours and very interesting. The tour host is very knowledgeable about the area, history, navy and ships in general. Take your camera as there are numerous photo opportunities. The seating comprises of... More

Great way to see local maritime industry & U.S.Navy ships. Narrated tour was excellent but was provided in English only. Not sure how foreign visitors would be able enjoy the great amount of detail info on each of the various ships or tour points passed during the 2 hour visit. Very friendly & knowledgeable staff. Give this a try if... More

I've been on this cruise a couple of times, and was not disappointed either time. Great for young and old alike. If they still allow it, and your kids ask nicely enough, the captain will let them "steer the boat", with supervision of course. Lovely cruise!

This was worth every penny and every minute. What an awesome experience. So glad we took the two hours to do this. It was both relaxing, educational and enjoyable. Not many things you can do for the price and get all that.

This was a nice 2 hour cruise with an excellent description and history of everything on both sides of the rivers. It goes from Nautico up to Norfolk naval shipyard with a great description oh the navy ships in port. Inside and outside seating. AC on inside. Snacks are sold and cold drinks and I believe beer.

Don't miss this. Captain is extremely knowledgeable about the area and the Naval Base. We had wonderful weather and a fantastic trip. We were super lucky to get to see the George Washington aircraft carrier in port. Seeing the Zumwalt too made for a really special day.

This cruise approaches the base from the south and you see some things not available on the other base cruise. There are good photo opportunities and interesting sites on this cruise as well. Parking is nearby but you can also visit the Wisconsin.

We went on a Sunday and combined it with a tour of the USS Wisconsin and museum. Lots of information and everyone enjoyed it. Would recommend it for a leisurely activity.
