One thing that impressed me in Puglia are the churches. Most churches I have seen in Puglia are left plain and simple, which in a church makes them look more holy. This church is a good example of keeping the church holy, with only a...More

A beautiful little church at the top of the trulli village. Very simple decor and small inside. But definitely worth a visit.

I like the simplicity of the churches here - always get the impression that there is lots of glitz and glitter and adornment but there isnt - Its lovely and simple - worth looking into

At the top of the Trulli village. Not very big (quite small actually). Simple layout. Some parking outside, which is handy if visiting the nearby UNESCO site.

A small but perfectly formed church. Main point of interest is the fresco behind the alter, which is beautiful. It’s at the top of one of the main streets opposite a park.

Nothing special in this church apart of being in the main trulli area of Alberobello. After having visited this main area, the church is at the end of it. Of course, then a visit can be paid, it takes 5 or 10 minutes

The church has nice paintings and architecture. Not worth a separate trip but if you are there take a look.

This is different to all other churches you will see in Puglia. Not just because the outside of the building is relatively plain and in the Trullo style, but because the interior is so different. It is plain inside with lovely white walls and a...More

At the top of via Monte Pertica in Alberobello, opposite the little park, sits a relatively modern church with trullo-style conical roofs, in accordance with its location. Plain interior, nothing like the heavily ornate detail found in many Italian churches, just a simple fresco at...More

Was on holiday in the Puglia region and browsed the internet for mass on Saturday evening and managed to hear mass at the church dedicated to San Antonio. Glad to have met other Maltese at the same mass. The mass started at 19.00hrs and was...More

I’m assuming that you are referring to the Basilica of St. Anthony. If so, it is wheelchair accessible, and there are bathrooms in the basilica complex. I am unsure if they are wheelchair accessible. If you are referring... More
