A small cozy and still Buzzy Village in Cinque Terre, can take a train from any other village. It provides excellent hiking opportunities and spectacular view! One should always carry sensible foot wear while visiting Cinque Terre.
Being used to walks of 25 kms or more, this trail was quite a challenge. You cannot do this without proper hiking shoes and for those who have fear of heights my strong advice would be: DON"T GO!!! In the end, however, the sights are...More
We spent 7 nights in Manarola and walked all over Cinque Terre, and this was our favorite hike. Techinically it is not "in" Cinque Terre, but heads out of Cinque Terre. We started in Monterosso and had lunch at our favorite Cinque Terre area restaurant...More
Absolutely spectacular views. Heed the advice of other review - sensible footwear, water, and maybe even an energy snack. This trail can get tricky and there are lots of steps up and down. There are several areas where the trail can be narrow and you...More
We were two fit women who hiked this trail last month and it was fantastic. It takes about 3 hours but the views are well worth it - especially the 10 minute detour to S.Antonio (even if you're tired, don't skip this!). It was a...More
We left at 9 am from Levanto. The trail was very easy to follow, going up out of town by the “blue” castle. It starts off with some stairs, then a cobbled walk, climbing fairly steeply from the beginning. We did not have a map,...More
This was our favorite hike in Cinque Terre, but also the most challenging. A good level of fitness is required and some sections looks more like a pile of rocks than a walking path but you're rewarded with the most beautiful views. Starting in Levanto...More

it depends where you are staying. There is a bike rental and a diving shop in Levanto, but I don't thnik there is a general sports store. Levanto is a small town and the 5 villages of 5 terre are even smaller. La Spezia is a bigger town and you can definitely buy a walking stick there. Another option is to email your accomodation and ask them your question. The locals will know where you can buy a walking stick.
